Welcome to this year's AmiGameJam event. This time, the theme is "Return of the Arcade", where this time, the challenge is to create an Amiga game in the style of a game that's worthy of its own arcade cabinet. The competition will close at 1.00AM GMT March 1st, 2026. After this date, voting will open to the community to vote on each of the games for around two weeks.
The prizes so far will include: the winning game will be featured on a full-size arcade cabinet with custom artwork and showcased in the best arcades in America. The winner also gets a 1:6 working replica of their arcade machine. Please feel free to contact me if you think you could help out by being a sponsor or donating prizes. I've also set up a GoFundMe to help cover the prizes and shipping costs. If you'd like to support it in any way, it would mean so much to the Amiga community! PhotonSCX has also very generously donated alternative fonts to the standard Topaz font for anyone to use in their AmiGameJam projects. There is also now an AmiBlitz plugin made by Honitos available for anyone to use that will let you include any fonts including PhotonSCX's ones! |
| This is a site dedicated to the past AmiGameJam events that kickstarted my passion for organising a yearly game development competition. The contest began in 2009 as the "Annual Festive Amiga Game-Making Competition", with the aim of inspiring Christmas and other "Festive" related Amiga game development. Encouraged by the unexpected success of the first contest, I decided to continue organising these contests. Eventually, a decision was made to rename it to AmiGameJam, opening it up to a wider range of themes. |
